When adding attachments, users have the option to add an attachment via document/file manager, a link to a web page, a link to a SharePoint site, attach an email that was forwarded from PMWeb or attach a file that is located on the local computer. Click the button for each file to be linked and fill in the information below.
Choose this option if attaching files to a record that are located in PMWeb Document Manager, or if it a file you wish to upload to the Document Manager during the linking process.
Choose this option if you have purchased the SharePoint single sign-on option and you are linking to a file uploaded to a SharePoint site. The SharePoint URL for the file is entered into the address field #6
Choose this option if attaching an email to the record. Once clicked, click Browse and you will be directed to the PMWeb Email Manager. A list of all email for that project will be displayed. Select the emails you wish to attach.
Choose this option if you wish to upload a file to the individual record from your local computer. Then use the Browse button to search your computer for the file.
Note: If this option is used the file is attached to the individual record and the file is not associated with PMWeb Document Manager, and can only be found by going back to this record. To upload multiple files, use the Select multiple files to upload section (see # 11).
Choose this option if you wish to upload multiple files from your local computer. Then use the Select button to search your computer for the files. To select the files highlight the file name by utilizing the control key then click Open. To drag and drop files to attach, open your windows explorer or desk top, select the files to attach and drag the files to the Select multiple files to upload box. Once you see the word "copy" drop the files.
Note: Drag and drop can only be used with Firefox or Google Chrome, this feature does not work with Internet Explorer. If using IE, use the first option listed above.
