Master Commitments

A Master Commitment is a compilation of individual commitments or a "blanket" commitment.  A Master Commitment can be used to track commitments for the same company throughout multiple projects or programs.

Select Master Commitment

Use to search for existing Master Commitments.

Add

Click to add a new Master Commitment.

Header Details

Type:  Select the type (Contract, PO etc.) of the Master Commitment.
Program:  Select the program associated with the Master Commitment.  If you want the Master Commitment to cover all programs, select (Portfolio).  The options for this field is configured by your Administrator in the Portfolio>Lists>Programs menu.
ID:   Enter an ID (Record #) for this Master Commitment.
Company:  Select the company that the Master Commitment is associated with.
Description:  Enter a general description (a more detailed description will be contained within the linked commitments).
Currency: Select the currency (dollar, euros etc.) that is associated with the Master Commitment.  The options for this field is configured by your Administrators in the Admin module.
Revision:  Enter the Revision number.
Date:  This field will automatically be populated by PMWeb with the current date.
Status:  The status (draft, submitted etc.) will automatically be updated by PMWeb based on the workflow configuration.
Effective Date:  Enter the date of the Master Commitment.
Days:  Enter the number of days that commitment is valid for.
From:  Enter the start date of the Master Commitment.
To:  Enter the finish date of the Master Commitment.

Search

Use to search the contact database.

Master Commitment Recap

These fields provide an overview of the Master Commitment.  This area will be populated after you save the header details and commitments are linked.

Save

Click to save the header details of the form.

Add Commitment

Click to add a NEW commitment.  Once clicked, you will be directed to the add commitment entry screen.

Link Commitments

Click Link Commitments to associate EXISTING commitments with the Master Commitment.  Once selected, a list of all existing commitments will be displayed. Place a check mark in the "select" column to choose which items to link.  Once selected, click Save to Record.  The items selected will now appear under the commitments tab in the Master Commitment.

Linked Commitments

These fields will be automatically populated once commitments are linked using the Add Links button.
